The Orono Health Association is a volunteer organization that serves the health and welfare needs of the Orono community.
OHA operates a Thrift Shop in downtown Orono.
The OHA Medical Rides Program, connects Orono residents who need rides with volunteer drivers who take them to medical appointments.
OHA maintains a Medical Equipment Loan Building stocked with durable medical supplies.
OHA supports dental health care for Orono school children, K-12, and Orono senior citizens through the Dental Program in cooperation with the Penobscot Community Dental Clinic.
From May 2011 through April 2012, OHA contributed more than $34,000 to local charitable programs. During the same time period, OHA Medical Ride volunteer drivers provided many rides to Orono residents and Orono Thrift Shop volunteers put in more than 2000 hours at the Thrift Shop.
